Water Situation

In Taizhou, the tap water is sourced from both surface and underground water bodies, including rivers and reservoirs. The water is generally treated to meet the national standards for drinking water quality, and it may contain various minerals beneficial to health. Over the years, with increasing industrialization, there have been growing concerns about water pollution; however, substantial efforts have been made to improve the water quality and ensure it remains safe for consumption. The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Water Resources is responsible for overseeing water quality, with local distribution managed by the Taizhou Water Supply Corporation.
