Water Situation
In Guangzhou, the tap water is primarily sourced from the Xijiang River, one of the major tributaries of the Pearl River. The water treatment process includes sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection to ensure safety. However, the quality of tap water can vary due to old plumbing in some areas and occasional pollution incidents upstream. Over the years, there have been improvements in the filtration technology and monitoring of water quality.
